Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL – DUBROVNIK

Arrival at Dubrovnik airport, accommodation at the hotel in Dubrovnik.

Day 2: DUBROVNIK

Breakfast. Visit of Dubrovnik, which is known as the pearl of the Adriatic, and is considered to be the most beautiful city in Croatia. It is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will stroll through the backstreets of this “paradise on earth” with a local guide. You will visit the historic centre of Dubrovnik with numerous churches, palaces, and secret corners. Among them you will see on the outside: the Regent Palace and the Franciscan monastery with one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. After the guided tour you will spend free time to explore the incredible walls or to take a boat trip to the small island of Lokrum where the nature reserve and forest reserve is located. Day 3: DUBROVNIK – THE BAY OF KOTOR – BUDVA – DUBROVNIK

Breakfast. Visit the beautiful neighbouring country – Montenegro, with its fjords, its famous islands built by sailors in the middle Ages, and the Venetian towns of Budva and Kotor where the impressive old town and the medieval walls stand out. In the afternoon, return to Dubrovnik and accommodation in Dubrovnik.

Day 4: DUBROVNIK – PELJEŠAC – KORČULA – NEUM

Breakfast. You will start the day photographing the European Chinese wall in the town of Ston, which is a spectacular fortress nestled in the peninsula. After you will continue to the Pelješac Wine Route, a region located 40km from Dubrovnik, which is considered as the secret of Dalmatia. This picturesque area is home to some of Croatian’s most interesting red wines. You will continue to the spectacular island of Korčula, considered as the birthplace of Marco Polo. At the end of the day, transfer to Neum in Bosnia and Herzegovina and accommodation in Neum.

Day 5: NEUM – MOSTAR – SARAJEVO

Breakfast. You will travel through the delta of the Neretva River with many citrus oases giving a special image to the area. In the morning you will visit the source of the river Buna and a nearby Muslim monastery (where the Dervishes lived). In the afternoon, on a guided tour, you will visit the famous city of Mostar, the capital of Herzegovina. There abound mosques and ancient churches, the city is known above all for the famous Old Bridge which represents union of two cultures, each on one side of the Neretva river bank. In the afternoon departure to Sarajevo so you can enjoy the views offered by the road that runs all the time by the Neretva River. Accommodation in Sarajevo.

Day 6: SARAJEVO

After breakfast, guided tour of Sarajevo, the capital and the most populous city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A local guide will show you the mysterious old town of Sarajevo called Baščaršija, with the Turkish architecture mixed with the buildings of Austro-Hungarian architecture. You will see the contact of three different cultures and religions that characterize this place and you will realize that it is a multicultural city. There you will also visit the site of the famous assassination (1914) in which Gavrilo Princip killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and thus provoked the start of the World War I. You can see the traces left by the Sephardim who had settled there after being deported from Spain. You will also visit the famous war tunnel that served as a connection between the occupied city of Sarajevo and the unoccupied territory and much more. In the afternoon you can enjoy free time in the picturesque old town. Do not forget to take the time to try the typical Sarajevo food: čevapčiči and burek and after that to try delicious Bosnian coffee, served in handmade copper coffee makers. Accommodation in Sarajevo.

Day 7: SARAJEVO – DUBROVNIK

Breakfast. Departure from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. On the way, you can visit the famous holy place that brings together many Catholic pilgrims from around the world, Medjugorje, which is known for the most recent appearances of Mary. After lunch, you will continue your way to Dubrovnik. Accommodation in Dubrovnik.

Day 8: DUBROVNIK – AIRPORT

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of trip.
