DAY 1: AIRPORT – MESTRE
Arriving to the hotel in Mestre and accommodation.
DAY 2: MESTRE – VENICE – BLED
Guided tour in English of the unique city on water – Venice. Free afternoon for individual sight-seeing. Evening transfer to Slovenian city of Bled. Dinner and accommodation in Bled area.
DAY 3: BLED – BOHINJ – BLED
Breakfast. Relaxed walk around the gorgeous Lake Bled, centred in the Alpine landscape. Climb a hill with a Bled Castle on the top and take the best sightseeing picture of the lake and the highest Slovenian Mountains. After the visit of the castle, you will visit the island in the middle of Lake. Instead of swimming there you could take a traditional boat “pletna” and enjoy on board. Later, you will continue to another Lake Bohinj – famous by its intact and peaceful character. Imagine walking by the lake, surrounded by mountains, forests and small Alpine villages. Return to Bled and accommodation.
DAY 4: BLED – KLAGENFURT – WÖRTH LAKE – BLED
Breakfast and morning cross of the border with Austria. Driving through the epic Carinthia country towards the Lake Wőrth. You will be surprised over its 20 km length and magical spirit. Then you will visit the city of Klagenfurt. Walking through the old city town you will notice why we call this town, University town. Besides the huge amount of students, you will be impressed by the beauty of old part of the town, especially the main square Altplatz with a famous Lindworm fountain. Later afternoon you will return to the shore of Worth Lake and enjoy your time there. Return to Bled and accommodation.
DAY 5: BLED – POSTOJNA CAVE – PREDJAMA CASTLE – ROVINJ
After the breakfast you will transfer to Croatia. On the way there you will stop at Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle. Both, Caves and Castle are world famous. Entering the cave you will take an unforgettable train drive, which will take you through the largest cave system in Europe. Next stop would be 700 years old Predjama Castle, which is famous for its strategic position. It is build inside of a high cliff and for this definitely something that you should not miss. Then you cross the border and drive on to Croatian city of Rovinj. On the way there stop at the family run brewery. You can taste local delicacies and special beer made of the best barley malt and hops, using fresh spring water. Accommodation in Rovinj.
DAY 6: ROVINJ – PULA – ROVINJ
After the breakfast city tour around Rovinj – little, historical, Istria town, with a romantic soul. Walking by the numerous narrow streets, you will find yourself admiring pictures and other artistic masterpieces hanging on the walls of the streets. Besides streets you would be impressed by the Basilica of St. Euphemia and its location with gorgeous panorama views. Later on, you could taste different olive oil from this part of Croacia at some well known local producers. The next stop will be Pula – city with a long history, known by its very well preserved amphitheatres and its administrative position of province Istra. Return to Rovinj and overnight there.
DAY 7: ROVINJ – OPATIJA – LAKE BAJER – PLITVICE LAKES
Breakfast and departure to the first stop – Opatija. Free time for sightseeing a majestic villas and old hotels. In the past Opatija was one of the top winter destinations for people from Austria, who came there to enjoy their vacations. You can walk along Lungmare promenade, enter Angiolina Park, and enjoy a view at Wagner’s terrace. Passing the Gorski Kotar Region you will arrive to a small village Fuzine, next to the Lake Bajer, where you will take a boat trip. Later on you will stop at restaurant Bitoraj and taste the delicious food of the region. You will continue the trip to Plitvice Lakes – the empire of lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Accommodation at Plitvice.
DAY 8: PLITVICE LAKES – SPLIT
Breakfast and then entering one of the world’s most impressive national parks – Natural Park Plitvice. You will spend the whole day walking through green woods, around astonishing lakes and waterfalls. Then you will continue to Split. Evening city tour around the largest city of Adriatic coast. You will see the monument of Grgur Ninski, St. Domnius Cathedral and Bell Tower and Diocletian’s Palace, built at 4th century by the Roman emperor Diocletian. Dinner in a typical Dalmatian restaurant – konoba. Accommodation in Split.
DAY 9: SPLIT – AIRPORT
Breakfast and free time until the transfer to the airport or departure for another trip or cruise.
