DAY 1: ARRIVAL – LJUBLJANA
Arrival to Trieste airport. Transfer to the hotel in Ljubljana. On the way, stop in Postojna to visit the famous Caves of Postojna. You will be impressed by the most spectacular part of the cave (the White Room, the Red Room, the Spaghetti room). After the visit of the caves you will visit Predjama Castle, located about 9 kilometers from Postojna. This medieval castle is famous for its amazing location under a rock and it has may underground caves and hideouts. Later transfer to Ljubljana. Accommodation in the capital.
DAY 2: LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Guided tour of Ljubljana. In this wonderful city you will visit the castle, which is the most strategic point of the city, and is accessible on foot or by the funicular. From the castle you can enjoy amazing views over the city and its historic center. Once down again, you will walk along the river Ljubljanica and cross the numerous bridges that connect both banks of the town. In the afternoon free time to enjoy the atmosphere of the capital, have a coffee in one of many bars or enjoy the street music along the promenade. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
DAY 3: LJUBLJANA – BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Departure to the beautiful alpine town Bled, where you will visit the castle built on high rock with a loca guide. From the castle you can enjoy a panoramic view over the lake and the island of Bled. You will continue the tour going to the island with the traditional boat called pletna, where you will visit the baroque church of St. Mary. In the afternoon visit of Bohinj and the largest glacial lake in Slovenia that is located beneath the high mountains of Julian Alps. Along the way to the lake you will see small villages that seem to be from a fairy tale. We also recommend to visit the waterfall Savica. Return to the capital and accommodation in Ljubljana.
DAY 4: LJUBLJANA – LOGARSKA VALLEY – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Transfer to the north to visit the natural beauty of the Logarska Valley.
This valley is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful valleys
of the Alps.
The valley is the most visited tourist place in Solčava area, which received the prestigious recognition “European Destination of Excellence” in 2009. You will visit the waterfall Rinka
and the museum in the village Solčava. Return to Ljubljana. Accommodation in Ljubljana.

DAY 4: LJUBLJANA – MARIBOR – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Morning departure to Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia, located at the northwest part of the countrie between vineyards and green valleys. The city is known for its white wines and its strong Austro-Hungarian tradition. Visit the city with its castle, Franciscan church, the Cathedral of San Juan Baptista, etc. Take a walk along the river Drava to the upper quarter of the town, called Lent. In the afternoon return to the capital. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
DAY 5: LJUBLJANA – KOPER – PIRAN – PORTOROŽ
Breakfast. Transfer from the capital to the Slovenian littoral to visit the most important places of the coast. You will begin the tour in Koper, the largest city on the coast. Explore the streets of the city and discover Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings. The journey continues to Piran. It is the best preserved cultural monument of Slovenian Istria. The tipical narrow streets and houses, numerous squares and churches will impress you. After the tour, visit of Portorož – or Portorose in Italian, meaning “port of roses”. In the afternoon free time in Portorož. Accommodation in Portorož.
DAY 6: PORTOROŽ – POREČ – ROVINJ – PULA
Breakfast and transfer to Croatian Istria. First you will visit the city of Porec, where you will visit the Euphasian Basilica. Later transfer to Rovinj, one of the most picturesque towns in Istria with Venetian Baroque architecture. In the afternoon transfer to Pula and visit of the famous Roman Forum. Accommodation in Pula or Fažana.
DAY 7: PULA – BRIONI – PULA/FAŽANA
Breakfast. Transfer to the port, from where you will go to National Park Brioni, former Tito’s residence. On the island is also an animal reserve, zoo, the museum of Tito and more. But what attracts most in Brioni is the beautiful nature, flora and fauna, the crystal clear water, etc. If you are a bit adventurous you can rent a bicycle and explore the island. In the afternoon, return to Pula / Fažana. Free time and accommodation in Pula or Fažana.
DAY 8: PULA – INTERIOR OF CROATIAN ISTRIA – PORTOROŽ
Breakfast. Transfer to the interior of Istria and visit of Istrian villages, rich in local cuisine. You will visit Groznjan, Motovun and a typical farmhouse of Istria. In the afternoon return to Slovenia. You can visit the Natural Park Salinas Sečovlje, where salt is still produced on a traditional way and where you can find a variety of birds and other species. Accommodation in Portorož.
DAY 9: PORTOROŽ – END OF TRIP
