Itinerary

Day 1: AIRPORT – KRANJSKA GORA

Arrival at the Ljubljana airport. Transfer to the alpine village Kranjska Gora and accommodation in 3* hotel. 

Day 2: KRANJSKA GORA – VRŠIČ – SLEMENOVA ŠPICA  – TAMAR – KRANJSKA GORA

After the breakfast the first hike in the Julian Alps. Transfer to Planica, the famous centre of skiing jumps, and the easy hike through the Tamar valley. From the hut in Tamar starts ascent to Slemenova Špica, popular mountain among Slovenian hikers. From Slemenova Špica we descend to Vršič, the highest pass in the Julian Alps. Although the excursion this day is not very difficult you will enjoy in beautiful views of Julian Alps, Accommodation in the hut in  Vršič.

Day 3: VRŠIČ – PRISOJNIK – VRŠIČ

After the breakfast we will start to ascent to the Prisojnik Mountain. In the afternoon we will return to the Vršič Pass and overnight in the same hut as the day before.

Day 4: VRŠIČ – KRMA VALLEY – KREDARICA/PLANIKA   

Very early in the morning we will go to the valley of Krma, from where the ascent to the highest Slovenian mountain starts. The first day it will be 5 hours long hike to the hut under the Triglav Mountain. Under the top of Triglav, in the hut, you can enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 5: KREDARICA/PLANIKA – TRIGLAV – HUT IN DOLIČ MOUNTAIN

Rise to the top of Triglav Mountain (2864m). According to ancient Slavic legends, Mount Triglav is the three-headed god who watches over the earth, the sky and the underworld. The triple peak is also the symbol of national pride and independence of Slovenia. The road takes you through the chair Luknja (1758m.), where you can see a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. From the chair is not more than 3 hours to mount Dolič refuge (2151m), where we will spend the night.

Day 6: DOLIČ HUT – SEVEN LAKES OF TRIGLAV – HUT IN THE TRIGLAV LAKES

From the Dolič hut it will take 3,5 hours to get to lakes of Triglav. There is also a refuge where we will enjoy the rest of the day. If you will not be too tired you can enjoy wandering around the 7 lakes of Triglav – the nature is amazing.

Day 7: SEVEN LAKES OF TRIGLAV – PLANINA BLATO – RIBČEV LAZ / BOHINJ LAKE

A descent from Triglav Lakes to the valley of Bohinj. From the Planina Blato you will be taken to the hotel by a van. In the afternoon you can enjoy in the clear water of the glacial lake of Bohinj or just wander around the lake and try the best cheese from the Bohinj’s cows.

Day 8: RIBČEV LAZ / BOHINJ LAKE – BLED LAKE 

After the breakfast we will bring you to Lake Bled, a town that attracts visitors with its wonderful combination of nature, culture and unique history. The region is full of excellent hiking opportunities, including a walk through the impressive Vintgar gorge. There is a 1600 meter long walk on a wooden walkway that leads through the scenic gorge along the river Radovna to the waterfall. If you prefer an easy stroll we recommend a walk around the lake, which will take you about an hour. You can also visit famous church on the island in the middle of the lake in a typical boat called “pletna” or visit Bled Castle and its museum. The museum houses an interesting exhibition on the history of the castle. Accommodation in Bohinj or Kamnik.

Day 9: LJUBLJANA – VELIKA PLANINA – KAMNIK – LJUBLJANA

Breakfast. A hike to Velika Planina Mountain (optional cable car to Velika Planina and walk up the Velika Planina). On the way to Ljubljana we will visit the beautiful medieval town of Kamnik.
Accommodation in Ljubljana.

Day 10: LJUBLJANA

After the breakfast morning guided tour of Ljubljana – old town “Stara Ljubljana”, located between the castle and the river Ljubljanica, the cathedral and main square Prešeren square, famous Three Bridges, Town Hall, Robba’s Fountain (the source of three Carniolan Rivers). Free afternoon, accommodation in Ljubljana.

Day 11: LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA CAVE – PORTOROŽ

After the breakfast transfer towards the Carstic region. First you will visit the famous Postojna cave and afterwards incredible Predjama castle, which is constructed in the rock. In the afternoon, after lunch you will visit the famous Venetian town called Piran. Accommodation in Portorož. 

Day 12: PORTOROŽ

Free time in Portorož or visit of the cities nearby (Koper, Trieste,..). 

Day 13: PORTOROŽ

Free time in Portorož.

Day 14: PORTOROŽ

Transfer to the airport.
