Day 1: ARRIVAL – DUBROVNIK – KOTOR
Arrival to the Dubrovnik Airport and transfer to Montenegro to start your personal tailor-made Montenegro itinerary. Accommodation in Kotor.
Day 2: KOTOR – PERAST – HERCEG NOVI – KOTOR
Breakfast. The day will start with a guided tour of Kotor’s walled city center which was part of the Venetian Republic for over 400 years and is therefore filled with beautiful architecture of that era. In the afternoon, you will visit other parts of the fabulous Kotor Fjord, including the charming little Perast where you’ll take the boat trip to the tiny island called Our Lady of the Rocks and the nearby Herceg Novi, a town with a slightly different history. Return to Kotor where you will spend the night.
Day 3: KOTOR – LOVĆEN – CETINJE – BUDVA
After breakfast, you will the scenic ride over the Kotor Fjord to the town of Njegusi, where you will optionally have the opportunity to taste the typical ham and cheese of this area. Moving on to Lovčen National Park where you will visit the mausoleum of Petar II Petrović Njegoš at the top of Jezerski Peak. In the afternoon, transfer to Cetinje, the old capital of Montenegro, famous for a magnificent orthodox monastery. The day will end in Budva, the Montenegro’s tourism hub with atmospheric historic center full of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Night in Budva.
Day 4: BUDVA – SVETI STEFAN – STARI BAR – ULCINJ – BUDVA
Today you will explore the Adriatic coast. First stop is a picture-perfect Sveti Stefan, the most photographed gem of Montenegro – a small walled town known for its amazing beaches. Then you will visit the interesting ruins of Stari Bar and the oldest olive tree in continental Europe. In the afternoon transfer to Ulcinj, in the past known as the home of Mediterranean pirates. According to legend, Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes was imprisoned here for five years and then used the name of the city for Dulcinea’s character, Don Quixote’s muse. Return to Budva and accommodation.

Day 5: BUDVA – LAKE SKADAR – PODGORICA
After breakfast transfer to Skadar Lake area, where you will take a boat trip on this largest lake in the Balkans, divided between two countries, Montenegro and Albania. After lunch you will get transferred to Montenegro’s small capital of Podgorica. A short stroll through the small center before accommodation in one of the hotels.
Day 6: PODGORICA – BIOGRADSKO JEZERO – ŽABLJAK
After breakfast, transfer to Durmitor National Park. On the way you will make a stop to visit the pristine Biograd Lake and then continue towards the amazing Djurdjevića Tara Bridge spanning over a deep gorge. You will spend the night in Žabljak, a town located at the highest altitude above sea level in the Balkans (1456 m).
Day 7: ŽABLJAK – ČRNO JEZERO – MONATSERIO OSTROG – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, you will enjoy the natural beauties of the Durmitor National Park. Within the area there are 18 glacial lakes known as “the eyes of the mountains”. The largest of them is Črno jezero (“The Black Lake”) which you will visit. In the afternoon, transfer back to the coast with a stop at the Ostrog Monastery, the most popular pilgrimage site in Montenegro, located on top of the great rock of Ostroška Greda that offers a wonderful view of the Bjelopavlići Plain. Accommodation in the Dubrovnik area.
Day 8: DUBROVNIK – AIRPORT
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of this Montenegro itinerary.
