DAY 1: AIRPORT – ZAGREB
This escorted tour to Croatia stats with a transfer of travellers from the Zagreb airport to the hotel. Free time to enjoy the capital of Croatia before group meeting with the guide and other group members. Welcome drink and accommodation in Zagreb.
DAY 2: ZAGREB – OPATIJA
After breakfast, guide will take you on a tour of Zagreb. You will visit the historic centre Gornji grad, the cathedral, the picturesque San Marco’s church and the king Tomislav square. In the afternoon we head towards Opatija, which has been a popular holiday destination of European nobility for many centuries. Before or after dinner we recommend taking a pleasant stroll along the famous promenade. Night in Opatija.
DAY 3: OPATIJA – PULA – ROVINJ – OPATIJA
After breakfast we will explore Istria, a region with a very rich history starting with first Illyrian tribes in 11 century BC, followed by Roman Empire and Venetian Republic, continuing with Napoleon and Austrian rule. We well peek into the famous Pula Arena, one of the largest remaining Roman amphitheatres, wander through the narrow lanes of Rovinj, probably the most picturesque Istrian town and taste truffles – a renowned local speciality. Return to Opatija for the night.
DAY 4: OPATIJA – PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Transfer to Plitvice National Park, another not-to-be-missed attraction when you travel to Croatia. This gorgeous system of numerous lakes, waterfalls and rivers that disappear under the surface and reappear moments later was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will be amazed by the beauty of this natural phenomena. Dinner and accommodation within the Plitvice area.

DAY 5: PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK – ZADAR – SPLIT
After breakfast we will head back to the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Our first stop is the ancient town of Zadar. Among other historic sites we will take a look at church of St. Donatus and the famous Sea Organ. On our way to Split, we will take a wine tasting stop in one of the regions most recognised wineries where you will also be offered delicious local snacks. Overnight in Split.
DAY 6: SPLIT – TROGIR – SPLIT
Breakfast. Guided tour of Split, the second largest city in Croatia. The old town with its rich history, which was listed World Heritage by UNESCO, will take your breath away. Among many sights worth seeing is Diocletian Palace, which was built by this Roman emperor in the fourth century, Cathedral of St. Dominus and the Temple of Jupiter. In the afternoon we will visit another UNESCO World Heritage site – the charming ancient town of Trogir. Known as a city-museum for its well-preserved renaissance and baroque buildings, Trogir is pedestrian friendly and easy to navigate. Return to Split for overnight.
DAY 7: SPLIT – STON – DUBROVNIK
Breakfast. Before getting to the final stop of this tour to Croatia, we will take a detour to pretty Ston. In the nearby winery we will sample a well known Plavac Mali wine and learn all about it’s history and procedures of making it. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8: DUBROVNIK
Breakfast. Dubrovnik, also known as the Jewel of the Adriatic, is featured in UNESCO heritage list. Its old city centre is almost unchanged since the 13th century and features amazing Venetian places and medieval churches. During our visit we will peek into the Franciscan Monastery and its pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. Later you will have a chance to climb the city walls from where you can enjoy the spectacular views over the Adriatic sea. Accommodation in Dubrovnik.
Day 9: DUBROVNIK – END OF THE TRIP
After breakfast separate transfers to the airport. Optional daily excursions around Dubrovnik, small ship cruises in Croatia or overnight stay.
