Itinerary

We invite you to discover the pearls of Slovenian Alps! On this tour of Slovenia by bike you’ll visit the natural beauties of Bled and Bohinj Lakes while exploring the historical towns of Škofja Loka, Radovljica and Kropa.

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO BLED

Arrival to Bled, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Slovenia. And you will quickly understand why that is: small island with a baroque church in the middle of glacial lake, surrounded by towering mountains, and a fairy-tale castle, perched on top of a cliff. What else is there to be said? After a self-guided tour of all the attractions, one of our representatives will meet you for a welcome drink to deliver you all the necessary documentation for your Alps of Slovenia by bike tour. Accommodation in Bled.

Day 2: BLED – POKLJUKA – BOHINJ VALLEY

Stage distance: 27 km + 16 km optional to Savica Waterfall
Breakfast. You will start the day with an organised transfer to the Pokljuka plateau (12 kilometers from Bled), located in the midst of pristine nature of Triglav National Park. Take a deep breath of fresh air and start your tour by descending to Bohinj Valley. The route will take you through the numerous alpine villages scattered throughout the valley until you reach the small settlement of Ribčev Laz that stretches alongside the impressive Bohinj Lake. We recommend you taking a detour to the other side of the lake and visit Savica waterfall or take the cable car up to Mount Vogel for a spectacular view of the Bohinj valley and Mount Triglav, the highest peak in the Julian Alps and Slovenia. Accommodation in Ribčev Laz.

From the top of Jelovica plateau the route will take you through deep forests and will descend towards Selška Valley continuing to Škofja Loka Hills. Passing through pristine Slovenian countryside your will end your day in Škofja Loka, one of the oldest towns in Slovenia. If there is still any strength in you, climb up to Škofja Loka Castle sitting on the hill overlooking the town or simply wander the medieval streets of the old town. Accommodation in Škofja Loka.

Day 4: ŠKOFJA LOKA – PREDDVOR

Stage distance: 42 km
