Day 1 (Saturday): ARRIVAL IN KRANJSKA GORA
Arrival at Ljubljana airport. Shared transfer to Kranjska Gora. Your Holiday in the Alps in summer starts with a relaxing evening surrounded by the breathtaking alpine landscape. Dinner and accommodation in Kranjska Gora
Day 2 (Sunday): BKRANJSKA GORA – PLANICA – TAMAR – KRANJSKA GORA
Route length: approx. 8 km (circular); Elevation: 190 m
TBreakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Planica, a Nordic ski center with the largest ski jumping hills. From Planica, the trail on flat terrain leads to Tamar, a valley surrounded by high mountains. At the end of the valley, there is an alpine hut where you can get food. Optionally, you can hike to Nadiza Spring (approx. 1-hour round trip). Return to Kranjska Gora with a stop at the Zelenci nature reserve. Afternoon at leisure to explore Kranjska Gora (e.g., walk to Lake Jasna or rent bikes for a ride to Italy or Gozd Martuljek). Dinner and accommodation in Kranjska Gora.
Day 3 (Monday): KRANJSKA GORA – POKLJUKA – BOHINJ – KRANJSKA GORA
Route length: 15 km (circular); Descent: 67 m; Ascent: 190 m;
After breakfast, transfer to the Pokljuka plateau for a hike to “the most beautiful street of shepherd’s huts” in Zajamniki pastures, one of the most photographed spots in Triglav National Park. Enjoy lunch at the Uskovnica refuge. In the afternoon, head to Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest natural lake. In summer, the water temperature reaches 22°C, so it is recommended to bring a towel and a change of clothes to enjoy your free time at the lake. Late afternoon return to Kranjska Gora. Day 4 (Tuesday): KRANJSKA GORA – TAMAR VALLEY – KRANJSKA GORA
Route length: 9 km (circular); Elevation: approx. 110 m
Breakfast at the hotel. Your holiday in the Alps in summer continues with a visit to the serene Lake Bohinj, where you can relax by the water after your hike. Transfer to the alpine village of Bled. Take a ride on the traditional pletna boat to Bled Island. After returning from the island, free time to explore Bled and sample local cakes like potica or the famous Bled cream cake (kremšnita). End the visit with a walk around Bled Castle. In the afternoon, visit the Vrata Valley and hike to the Peričnik waterfall, one of Slovenia’s tallest and most iconic. You can walk both above and behind the waterfall. Return to Kranjska Gora. Dinner and accommodation in Kranjska Gora.

Day 5 (Wednesday): KRANJSKA GORA – VRŠIČ – SOČA VALLEY– KRANJSKA GORA
Route length: 6 km (circular); Elevation: approx. 310 m
After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel reception and transfer to the Vršič Pass. From there, hike to Slemenova Špica, about 2 hours each way. Lunch at one of the mountain huts in the Vršič Pass. This day of holiday in the Alps in summer will take you through some of the most picturesque spots in Slovenia, including the stunning Soča Valley. In the afternoon, drive to the Soča River Valley to visit the towns of Trenta and Bovec. Return to Kranjska Gora. Dinner and accommodation in Kranjska Gora.
Day 6 (Thursday): KRANJSKA GORA – ŠKOCJAN CAVES – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Depart for the karst world and visit the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO site. The 2-hour tour includes viewing the world’s largest known underground canyon, waterfalls, and karst formations. Lunch. Transfer to Ljubljana for a walking tour, including a visit to Ljubljana Castle for panoramic views of the city. Stroll through the old town and see landmarks like the Triple Bridge, Butcher’s Bridge, and Dragon Bridge. Accommodation in Ljubljana..
Day 7 (Friday): LJUBLJANA – ŠKOCJAN CAVES – LJUBLJANA
Route length: 10 km (circular); Elevation: approx. 330 m
After breakfast, visit Velika Planina and take an easy hike through the mountain pastures, where 300 cattle can graze. Admire the typical architecture of shepherd’s huts and the Chapel of St. Mary of the Snows. After lunch, return to Ljubljana. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 8 (Saturday): LJUBLJANA – END OF HOLIDAYS IN THE ALPS IN SUMMER
Free time before transfer to the airport. End of holidays in the Alps in summer.
