Day 1: ARRIVAL TO LJUBLJANA
Arrival at Ljubljana airport and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 2: LJUBLJANA
After breakfast, guided tour of Ljubljana. On a walk through the old town you will pass through the congress building, the national library, the cathedral, the main square “Prešernov trg”, the Triple Bridge and the Bridge of the Dragons, the symbol of the city. Then you can go up to the Ljubljana castle, either on foot, or by funicular, and from there enjoy the views over Ljubljana and the mountains that you see in the distance. Free time in the afternoon. You will be able to experience Ljubljana flavors in one of the restaurants on the banks of the Liublianica river or, enjoy the street music that plays in many corners. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 3: LJUBLJANA – VELIKA PLANINA – KAMNIK – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Meeting with the guide and transfer to Kamnik and Velika planina to spend an active day. You will climb to Velika planina to make a light march through the high plateau of Velika planina, passing through the village of shepherds – picturesque village of wooden houses. Some of the shepherds offer fresh products, such as sour milk or cheese. After a march of approx. 3h, return to Kamnik for a walk through the old town of one of the most important medieval cities in Slovenia. The day is quite active, so we recommend wearing sports shoes and shoes. Return to Ljubljana. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 4: LJUBLJANA – BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Transfer to Bled. You will visit the Bled Castle whose courtyard offers breathtaking panoramic views over the peaks of the Julian Alps and over Lake Bled with the island in the middle. From the castle they will descend to optionally make the traditional boat ride “pletna” to the island, where the baroque church of Saint Mary is located, where they will play the bell of wishes. In the afternoon, continue to Bohinj with the largest natural lake in Slovenia, located in the heart of Triglav National Park. The lake will impress you with the reflections of the high coverings of the Julian Alps. Possible time to bathe in one of the lakes so we recommend bringing a beach towel and a swimsuit. Return to Ljubljana. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 5: LJUBLJANA – KOPER – PIRAN – SLOVENE ISTRIA – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast and departure to the Slovenian coast with Koper and Piran. You will visit the city of Koper, the most important city of the coast. Stroll through the streets of the city and you will see Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque constructions. Most of Koper’s most interesting tourist spots are concentrated around the City Tower, which measures 36m high and is visible in the distance. Among the most interesting points you will see the cathedral, the lodge and the Praetor palace. Continue to Piran with its wall that is a city of special value. It is the best-preserved urban cultural monument in Slovenian Istria and the closest city to the mundane Portorož. Possible time to bathe in the Adriatic so we recommend bringing a beach towel and a swimsuit. Back to Ljubljana optional stop in Hrastovlje. This small town is famous for its church of Saint Trinity with spectacular fresco dedicated to Dance of Death. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 6: LJUBLJANA – KRANJSKA GORA – VRŠIČ – VALLEY OF SOČA – LJUBLJANA
After breakfast transfer to Kranjska Gora where you will take a walk through one of the best known sports centers in Slovenia. The path will take you along the panoramic road towards the Vršič pass. On the way you can visit the Russian chapel – monument to the Russian soldiers who built this curved road during World War I and died in an avalanche. From the Vršič pass, down the road to Trenta and Bovec – adventure sports center. They will continue their way to Kobarid, to know the border area of the First World War. This area was part of the Isonzo Front. Here men from different nations were fighting, suffering and dying. From this time several relics have been preserved, such as trenches, fortifications, caves, monuments, military cemeteries, … In Kobarid, you can optionally visit the Museum of the First World War. In the afternoon, return to Ljubljana. Accommodation in Ljubljana.

Day 7: LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA CAVE – PREDJAMA CASTLE – LJUBLJANA
Breakfast. Transfer to Postojna to visit the famous Postojna Cave, one of the biggest attractions in Slovenia and the underground world. The Postojna Cave is famous for being the largest cave in Europe that allows sightseeing. The visit is made on foot and by electric train. After the visit, you will also visit the Predjama Castle, about 9 kilometers from Postojna. It is a medieval castle, located under a rock and connected to caves. In the afternoon return to the capital and accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 8: LJUBLJANA – END OF TRIP
Breakfast. Transfer to Ljubljana airport. End of trip.
